Position Summary
The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of interior spaces across the organization’s corporate facilities. This role serves as the primary design authority for all interior environments, ensuring that workspaces reflect the company's brand standards, operational requirements, and employee experience objectives. The Senior Interior Designer collaborates closely with Facilities Management, Real Estate, and senior leadership to deliver cohesive, functional, and aesthetically distinguished environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end interior design projects including space planning, concept development, material selection, furniture specification, and installation oversight for corporate offices and facilities. Develop and maintain company-wide interior design standards, guidelines, and brand alignment documentation. Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, furniture dealers, and architectural consultants, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery. Conduct site assessments and programming studies to translate business needs into effective design solutions. Prepare and present design proposals, renderings, and material boards to senior stakeholders for review and approval. Oversee project budgets, schedules, and procurement processes in coordination with the Facilities and Finance teams. Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, ADA requirements, health and safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
Mentor junior designers and coordinate the work of design support staff on assigned projects. Stay current with industry trends, emerging materials, and best practices in workplace design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional interior design experience, with at least 3 years in a corporate or commercial environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, familiarity with CAFM systems preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA compliance, and LEED or WELL certification standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously within budget and schedule constraints.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
