Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Residential Construction Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind accurately assessing project costs, reviewing construction drawings, and preparing comprehensive estimates for high-end residential building projects. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. You will collaborate closely with superintendents, contractors, and clients to deliver precise cost analyses that support successful project execution from inception to completion. Responsibilities

• Review and interpret detailed construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs.
• Develop detailed project budgets by analyzing scope of work, pricing materials, and calculating labor hours using construction tools.
• Prepare comprehensive estimates for high-end residential construction projects, including cost proposals for materials, labor, equipment, permits, and subcontractor services.
• Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Utilize estimating software to create precise cost models and track budget variations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights that influence accurate cost estimation and project planning.
• Monitor project costs continuously to ensure adherence to budgets through effective cost control strategies and proactive risk management.
• Collaborate with various teams to develop schedules, manage bids, and ensure estimates align with overall project timelines and goals.
• Review construction drawings for potential issues or discrepancies that could impact costs or scheduling.
• Maintain detailed records of all estimates and correspondence for transparency and future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience in managing projects as a construction estimator within residential or commercial construction environments.
• Strong background in construction drawing review, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
• Proficiency with estimating software, along with a solid understanding of cost management principles.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation with suppliers and subcontractors to optimize pricing without compromising quality.
• Extensive knowledge of construction site processes, contracts, project management practices, and cost control techniques.
• Hands-on construction experience is highly desirable to better understand on-site realities impacting estimates.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
