This company has 5 locations and is growing. The Production Manager is responsible for managing production teams and working with the Director of Operations in insure timely output of Ready to Eat (RTE) beef crumbles for Taco Bell.
This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. Requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and evaluate entire production process
· Managed 20 supervisors with 10 technicians each
· Contribute to production planning and budgeting
· Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction
· Maintain a safe production environment
· Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders
· Ensuring every position is filled before start-up of production line
· Overseeing Team Member and job rotation in order to facilitate ergonomics.
· Ensuring department can pass USDA Inspection
· Promoting safety on a daily basis
· Maintain and enforce all rules of conduct and regulations, including GMP'S and hygiene along with our current HACCP program including SSOP's and SOP's.
Additionally, you will be responsible for providing encouragement to staff in order to build the best team possible, and the critical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
· 2 years of production experience
· Strong organizational and managerial skills
· Management experience in managing large teams in a USDA or FDA facility
· Must have a minimum of 5-7 years experience working in a Beef or meat processing facility
· Demonstrated experience achieving a high level of engagement working close
· Management, Sales, and 3rd party Logistics partners
· Must have strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact well with all levels within an organization.
· Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus
· PLC and/or Computer logic experience
