Job Summary
Compiles and analyzes financial data for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. Manages the process of recording and reporting general ledger entries for the Support Center. Leads the annual Budget process for the Support Center.
Essential Functions
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Responsible for STI/LTI (bonus) calculation
- Records and reviews journal entries
- Coordinates the preparation of the annual budget for the Support Center
- Reviews Support Center general ledger for accuracy and completeness
- Prepares account reconciliations and reviews those completed by other staff
- Works with Department Heads and others to research, explain and understand department activity from an accounting perspective
- Supports Marketing Communications Team with invoice processing, tracking, and AP matters
- Prepares separate audit financial statements
- Prepares legal entity financial statements
- Assists with special projects as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, financial analysis and reporting.
- Computer literacy with skills in financial analysis software
- Efficient in working on multiple assignments with limited supervision under a deadline driven environment
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of personnel.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Licenses/Certifications
- CPA certification preferred
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in public accounting or financial reporting or related field
