Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of an administrator or site Director(s), provide standards-aligned instruction and supervision to students in one or more Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) disciplines, including music, choir, theatre, visual arts, and dance; support instructional delivery, student engagement, rehearsal coordination, and performance readiness; and perform instructional and program support duties with increasing independence.

Any teaching, coaching, and/or professional experience used to meet the minimum qualifications required for this position must be clearly outlined in the Employment History section and include sufficient detail for the District to verify your qualifications. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: Failure to attach all required documentation will result in the disqualification of your application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Minimum Qualifications: Enrollment in a college or university majoring in Music, Dance, Theatre, Choir, Visual Arts, or related discipline and two (2) years of coaching, teaching, or professional experience; or three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in coaching, teaching, performing, or related professional arts experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. • Prior coaching or teaching experience preferred. • Experience working with K–12 students preferred. Out-of-country transcripts may be submitted with an evaluation from an agency approved by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. For a list of approved evaluating agencies, please click here.

The selected candidate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends, as needed, to support events and activities associated with this role. Selected candidates must complete fingerprinting, Mandated Reporter Training, Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, CPR/First Aid certification, NFHS certifications (Concussion in Sports, Heat Illness Prevention, & Sudden Cardiac Arrest), and TB clearance prior to employment.
