QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorilyThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requiredEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing programCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Current California Registered Nurse license required, current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association, ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association, PALS Certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – American Heart Association and IV certification requiredResponsibilitiesSUMMARY: Responsible for coordinating and facilitating the recovery process for pre-scheduled patients to the Surgery CenterCollects, reviews and evaluates information for the pre-scheduled patient and organizes the admission chartCommunicates pertinent information to the LIP and appropriate nursing unitTracks pre-admission charts for missing documents prior to surgeryConducts pre-operative teaching for surgery patientsServes as resource person to PACU Coordinator and may functions in pre-, intra-, or post-operative care, and may work with patients throughout each phase of the operative experienceProvides and monitors safe, cost-effective patient care in accordance with the R.N. scope of practice and adherence to the organization’s nursing policy and proceduresMay be required to circulate in the procedure Room assisting the physicianReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functionsHours: Shift will vary*NEW GRADS ARE WELCOMED
