We are looking for a grounded, capable Store Manager who loves good food, and knows how to run a tight ship. This individual sets the tone for hospitality, freshness, presentation, and efficiency while ensuring the store remains a vibrant hub for the local community.
This role reports directly to our Chief of Operations and is responsible and accountable for Retail Store team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing, cash controls and inventory management
- Maintain exceptional standards for produce care, rotation, and quality control
- Create warm, simple, beautiful merchandising displays that highlight seasonality and local makers
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and in line with health and food safety standards
- Lead merchandising strategy for produce, prepared foods, and local goods to maximize freshness, flow, and visual appeal
- Train, coach, and mentor 1-2 Assistant Managers
- Manage and coach a Store Team comprised of 5-8 Shift Leads and Store Associates
- Develop a service-driven team culture
- Order inventory, manage stock, and minimize waste
- Create a warm, community-centered customer experience
- Support seasonal launches, tastings, and special in-store activities
- Own and manage Retail Store staff scheduling
Who We Are Looking For:
- 3 years experience managing a farm market, natural foods store, specialty grocer, or similar food-forward retail space
- Strong understanding of produce handling and rotation
- Eye for merchandising and simple, beautiful presentation
- Experience with prepared foods and food safety standards
- A love for local food, seasonal eating, and community-centered retail
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable wearing many hats
- Comfortable working weekends and seasonal peak periods

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
