Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth and attractive appearance
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators for planting, soil preparation, and landscape installation projects
- Maintain lawns through fertilization, aeration, overseeding, and weed control to promote lush greenery
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscapes
- Execute hardscape projects like installing pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor features with precision
- Conduct seasonal snow plowing to keep walkways and driveways safe during winter months
- Assist with horticultural practices including planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and maintaining garden beds for vibrant displays
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment and power tools to operate safely and efficiently
- Extensive experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and tree care techniques
- Ability to handle hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes, and hoes with skill and safety awareness
- Familiarity with excavators or similar construction machinery for larger landscape projects
