Role Purpose

The SP Facilities Coordinator, Workplace Services is involved in all daily operations and special projects of the housekeeping department. Data entry facilitation of maintenance work orders for daily operations requirements. Order cleaning supplies to maintain the supply needs for housekeeping. Work on special projects under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor. Provide coordination of all housekeeping-related activities and projects for Sullivan Park and ZV Workplace Services facilities on the evening shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with overseeing/coordination of the activities of personnel within the housekeeping department, including housekeeping employees, laborers, and maintenance associates.
  • Provide support to facilities management issues concerning the production and maintenance workforce scheduling.
  • Maintain good union-management relations throughout the Workplace Services buildings.
  • Coordinate special projects to ensure cleaning standards are maintained and personnel are fully utilized.
  • Monitor safety and health standards and ensure inspections and corrective actions are carried out.
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate non-value-added activity.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and division policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Oversee cleaning facility operations in the absence of the Supervisor, as well as provide secondary support for Automated Time and Attendance System.
  • Become the point of contact for Clean Room training, cleaning, and monitoring of protocols used in the industry. Work continuously to improve cleanroom environment practices.
  • Conduct Day One training with new employees.
  • Work closely with maintenance personnel to identify and address facility issues. Lead initiatives to improve team and work system performance.
  • Involved in all daily operations and special projects of the housekeeping department.
  • Facilitate data entry and maintenance work orders for daily operations requirements.
  • Order cleaning supplies to maintain the supply needs for housekeeping.
  • Work on special projects under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor.

Hours of Work/Work Schedule/Flex-Time:

  • 2:00 PM–11:00 PM, Monday–Friday; possibility of some weekend work.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Associate degree in a related field, bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in facilities/maintenance.
  • Customer service skills and excellent communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge of facilities, maintenance, and infrastructure.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations and prior experience with Clean Room protocols.
  • Dedicated team player who initiates good follow-up and works well with all levels of payroll.
  • Ability to work through problems as they arise, with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple building locations.
  • Ability to train new department personnel on job tasks.
  • Ability to direct and lead the activities of a union workforce.

The range for this position is $50,130.00 - $68,930.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
