COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
Corning Place Communications (CPC) – an award-winning, full-service strategic communications and public affairs firm located in Albany, NY, is seeking an experienced communications specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Working with CPC staff to support client needs and projects, including:
- Conceptualizing and producing videos;
- Developing, posting, and promoting content on client websites and social media channels;
- Participating in the planning and implementation of advocacy campaigns;
- Tracking metrics and campaign results, i.e. earned, social and paid media using media monitoring tools; and
- Developing communication strategies in partnership with our team and clients.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or other discipline with relevant experience; and
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience;
Preferred:
- Proficient in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), social media platforms and Microsoft Office software;
- Experience using Wordpress and other CMS to maintain websites;
- Experience producing video content, maintaining and using equipment used in video production;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
- Knowledge of/or interest in New York State policy and politics.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting salary ranges from $50,000 – $60,000, but is negotiable depending upon experience.
