Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames. Participates in projects to improve overall process and technical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Takes initiative to identify and resolve equipment and process issues
• Participates in projects and proposes solutions to problems
• Trains new personnel to standard operating procedures
• Creates and manages documentation
• Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information/materials
• Gives periodic status reports in written and verbal formats
• Interacts effectively with multiple levels of the organization to ensure continuity and efficiency
  
  

Experiences/Education - Required

• High School or equivalent
• 2 years manufacturing environment experience OR 2 years in a technical role
• Creative/innovative problem solving
• The ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
  
  

Experiences/Education - Desired

• Associates or Bachelors Degree
• Successful track record of performance in previous work experiences
• 1-3 years work experience

The range for this position is $59,029.00 - $81,165.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
