Our Art Teacher will create engaging, age-appropriate, hands-on experiences that allow students to explore different artistic techniques, build confidence, and express their creativity.
Duties
- Implement comprehensive art curriculum tailored to different age groups (K-12).
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate various art techniques, media, and tools to enhance student learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through strong classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
- Mentor students by providing individualized support, tutoring, and guidance to foster their artistic skills and confidence.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and performance.
- Engage with parents and guardians through effective communication skills to discuss student progress and behavioral concerns.
Skills
- Classroom experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent writing skills for lesson planning, curriculum documentation, and communication with parents.
- Strong communication skills essential for collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students’ families.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree
- All candidates must be willing and eligible to complete and pass a required background check and any other applicable screening requirements.
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
