What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesman position at Corning Appliance Corporation?
Primary Job Functions:
*Obtain sales for the company that are competitive and profitable
*Present the company to potential customers in a manner that leaves a favorable impression
*Ensure customer satisfaction, call back once the job is done
* Keep customer informed in cases of delays in delivery or installation
Customers:
*Work open houses and Home Shows
*Work sales floor as scheduled
*Keep appointments with customers as scheduled.
*Ask customers for permission to stake a job site sign when the job is sold.
*Inform customers of all special promotions, the benefits of high efficiency equipment and optional equipment and products.
*Offer financing on all proposals.
*Present a proposal at the time of the first call if possible, always present the proposal in person. never mail or fax this to the customer.
*Greet and assist all walk-in customers, establish an appointment to view their home and present proposal.
*Give sales presentations, as outlined in company selling process, use company presentation book.
*Return to completed jobs for quality checks, ask for referrals and hang door hangers, pick up yard sign.
*Turn in all required paperwork to the Sales Coordinator within 24 hours of the customer signing the contract. This includes a picture of the job and all necessary notes. drawings etc., to adequately communicate the job to the operations department. Complete Install Cards, Work Sheets, etc.
*Be available to answer questions that may arise.
*Collect 50% down on all sales jobs.
*Process all finance documents & schedule with customer for signage
Performance Indicators:
Meeting and exceeding target revenue goals.
Customer satisfaction.
Consistently strive for referrals on all jobs, within 12 months 25% of the Comfort Consult leads should be generated by referrals.
Up-sell and high efficiency equipment related jobs should equal 25% of the individual Comfort Consultants totals within 9 months.
Other:
Participates in post evaluation of jobs that were not satisfactory
Works closely with Installation Manager to ensure error free and high margin quotes.
Pay:
Weekly Base Pay, Monthly Commissions
