Position Summary
As the RSI Sales Representative, your mission is clear: win new business and secure multi-year contracts for Cornet’s inspection and maintenance services. You’ll lead the charge in identifying qualified prospects, guiding them through a consultative sales process, and delivering value-driven solutions that align with their safety and operational goals.
Success in this role means turning new connections into long-term customers—then continuing to build trust by cross-selling additional services that enhance protection and reduce risk.
This role requires confidence, credibility, and adaptability. You’ll speak the language of the C-suite, yet connect easily with on-site engineers and facility staff. Your ability to ask the right questions and present compelling solutions will set you apart.
Results Statement
Secure new multi-year inspection, testing, and maintenance agreements with qualified commercial and industrial customers. Develop customer relationships that lead to high retention, satisfaction, and cross-sell growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new customer opportunities through outbound prospecting, industry networking, and referral development
- Execute the full sales process using Miller Heiman sales methodology, including Blue Sheet planning and conceptual selling frameworks
- Use SPIN Selling techniques to conduct structured discovery, uncover customer needs, and build urgency around solving fire and life safety risks
- Develop clear, tailored proposals that articulate the full scope and value of Cornet’s RSI services
- Deliver professional presentations to stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to facility managers and maintenance staff
- Work collaboratively with Cornet’s operational teams to ensure a smooth customer transition from sale to service delivery
- Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and activity tracking within the CRM
- Consistently meet or exceed activity, pipeline, and revenue goals
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years of successful B2B sales experience; experience in facility services, life safety, or commercial contracting is a plus
- Familiarity with Miller Heiman methodology (e.g., Strategic Selling, Conceptual Selling) and SPIN Selling approach is required
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across multiple organizational levels
- Ability to manage a long-cycle consultative sale, including proposal development and contract negotiation
- Organized and self-driven, with a track record of meeting sales targets and deadlines
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office tools
