Family Support Worker

We are seeking a Family Support Worker to join our team. 

Salary Range: $21 - $23 (Hourly)

We are seeking a Family Support Worker to join our team.  Your role will work in the home of the family to teach them specific skills they need to safely remain together, such as problem-solving, crisis management, parenting, communication, budgeting, home maintenance, life skills and more.  Your role will also connect families to community resources to help stabilize them and increase their support system.  As a member of the Family Preservation team, you will work with several other team members and report to our Manager of Family Preservation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Through a team approach with two Case Managers and one Family Support Worker, support a caseload of up to 30 Family Preservation families.
• Provide direct case management services to children and families, including researching community resources, participating in case planning and being a positive role model for families.
• Available to families to help them with any crisis or conflict that might arise.
• Transport families as necessary.
• May be required to drive in 9 counties served by Northeast Kansas Family Preservation.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of relevant experience with children and families and the following:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening
• A valid driver’s license in the state you reside in, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation
