Director of Sales
At Cornerstone Systems, transportation is more than moving freight — it’s about building relationships, solving problems, and creating long-term success for customers and employees alike.
We are seeking a strategic, people-focused Director of Sales to lead and develop our growing sales organization in Memphis, TN. Reporting directly to the CEO, this onsite leadership role will oversee an established sales team while helping shape the future of sales strategy, talent development, pipeline growth, and cross-functional collaboration across the company.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop an existing sales team
- Strengthen accountability, pipeline management, and CRM discipline
- Partner with Marketing to improve lead generation and sales alignment
- Help recruit and develop future sales talent
- Build scalable processes that improve consistency and execution
- Collaborate closely with Operations to enhance customer experience and communication
- Foster a culture built on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Proven sales leadership experience with a track record of developing teams
- Strong coaching and relationship-building skills
- Experience improving sales process, structure, and pipeline performance
- Ability to lead through change and drive organizational growth
- Transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or intermodal experience strongly preferred
- Experience in consultative or service-based sales environments also valued
