PATIENT SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE
LOCATION: Cary, NC | Onsite and Hybrid
Onsite during 8–12 weeks of training; potential hybrid schedule after training.
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $20.40 per hour
• Part-time: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Training: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM for 8–12 weeks
• Permanent schedule after training
ROLE IMPACT
Support patients throughout the prescription refill and medication delivery process by providing timely, accurate customer service. Help minimize workflow interruptions, maintain accurate patient information, and coordinate with pharmacy and clinical teams to support safe, on-time medication delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Handle inbound and outbound calls regarding prescription status, refill needs, insurance information, invoices, medication delivery, and payment.
• Schedule medication deliveries and payments, verify patient profile information, and document concise progress notes so prescriptions can be distributed on time.
• Respond to patient questions and concerns, resolve non-clinical inquiries, and route clinical questions to pharmacists, nurses, or other appropriate staff.
• Use the management information system to review pending and shipped prescriptions, verify insurance information, and provide requested financial or invoice information.
• Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to clinicians to support patient safety and perform other duties as assigned based on team or program requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to provide professional customer service while handling inbound and outbound telephone calls.
• Ability to accurately enter, review, and update patient, prescription, payment, and insurance information in computer systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly, document concise progress notes, and appropriately escalate clinical questions or patient safety concerns.
