COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $17.20–$18.35 per hour $4.93/hour Health & Welfare Supplement
• Full-time | Seasonal | Non-Exempt
• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts as needed
ROLE IMPACT
Make a difference when people need help most. As a Disaster Assistance Call Center Representative, you’ll support disaster survivors by providing compassionate guidance, processing assistance registrations, and connecting callers with critical resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Handle inbound calls related to federal disaster assistance, registrations, sheltering assistance, document review, and referrals
• Follow required scripts, authentication, and identity verification procedures
• Accurately enter caller information into approved systems while protecting personally identifiable information (PII)
• Answer registration questions and provide clear program instructions and referrals
• Meet call quality, productivity, and schedule adherence expectations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent with customer service experience
• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen
• Strong computer, data entry, communication, and active listening skills with the ability to navigate multiple screens
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Must be able to work adjusted shifts as operational needs require
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Call center experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish verbal and written communication skills
• Strong empathy and ability to assist individuals during stressful situations
