CornerStone Professional Placement is partnering with a custom fabrication and architectural shade manufacturer to hire a skilled Design Drafter with strong 2D AutoCAD expertise.

This role is ideal for a technically sound drafter who thrives in a production-driven environment and enjoys seeing their designs move from concept to fabrication and installation. The position requires precision, collaboration with production teams, and the ability to generate fabrication-ready drawings in a fast-paced setting.

This is a 100% onsite role. The team is relocating to Burleson, TX at the end of the month, and candidates must be comfortable working fully in-office.

• Create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for custom structural and architectural installations

• Translate project specifications and measurements into production-ready technical drawings

• Ensure designs align with safety standards, structural requirements, and applicable codes
  

• Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and production staff to ensure design feasibility

• Support proposal preparation by generating technical drawings and visual representations

• Communicate revisions clearly and maintain drawing accuracy throughout project lifecycle
  

• Modify drawings based on field conditions, client updates, or change orders

• Maintain version control and proper documentation of revisions

• Generate material takeoffs to support fabrication and installation teams
  

• Assist with CNC-based pattern cutting systems

• Support graphics layout and application processes as needed

• Collaborate directly with fabrication teams to ensure execution accuracy
  

• Strong proficiency in 2D AutoCAD (required - must be current and hands-on)

• Experience creating fabrication-ready or construction-ready technical drawings

• High attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications

• Ability to work in a collaborative production/manufacturing environment

• Willingness to work 100% onsite in Burleson, TX
  

• Associate degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field

• Experience in custom fabrication, architectural elements, structural systems, or specialty manufacturing

• Exposure to CNC patterning systems

• Experience generating BOMs or material lists
  

• $25-$28 per hour

• Overtime available

• 100% onsite role

• Company relocating to Burleson, TX
