ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK
LOCATION
Grand Prairie, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $20 per hour, BOE
• Full-time, Monday–Friday | 7 am - 3:30 pm
• Temporary Assignment | Approx. 90 days
• Start date: ASAP
QUALIFICATIONS
• MUST HAVE 2 years of accounts receivable (AR), billing, or collections experience with the ability to work independently with minimal training.
• Working knowledge of ERP or accounting systems and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including sorting, filters, VLOOKUP, or XLOOKUP.
• High school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail, and clear professional phone and email communication.
ROLE IMPACT
Support accurate, timely accounts receivable operations for a Texas-based manufacturer serving residential and multifamily markets. This role manages daily invoicing, cash application, account reconciliation, and collections follow-up while helping maintain accurate customer records and supporting month-end close. Success means keeping payments accurately applied, resolving billing discrepancies promptly, and maintaining reliable AR records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and send accurate customer invoices, credit memos, and adjustments.
• Apply incoming payments, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit cards, to customer accounts in the ERP/accounting system.
• Reconcile daily deposits and investigate unapplied payments, short payments, billing discrepancies, pricing questions, and account disputes.
• Respond to customer and distributor questions regarding invoices, statements, balances, and collections while coordinating with Sales and Customer Service.
• Maintain credit applications, tax-exemption certificates, and lien waivers; support month-end close through AR reconciliations, aging reports, and account review.
