Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will help residents develop, recover, and maintain daily living and functional skills necessary for greater independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
- Provide therapeutic interventions focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist residents with mobility, strengthening, coordination, and adaptive techniques
- Monitor resident progress and document treatment outcomes accurately and timely
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and home exercise programs
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment for all residents
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure/certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
