The Position

As a Handyman / Home Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of residential maintenance, repair, demolition, and renovation tasks. You will work directly in customers' homes, so professionalism, communication, cleanliness, and trustworthiness are essential.

We are looking for someone with broad hands-on experience rather than someone who specializes in only one trade.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:

• Pulling and setting toilets
• General plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
• Installing faucets, fixtures, valves, and other plumbing components
• Tile installation and repair
• Grouting and caulking
• Light carpentry and framing
• Door, cabinet, and hardware repairs
• Trim and molding installation
• Baseboards and finish carpentry
• General electrical knowledge and basic electrical repairs
• Drywall repair and finishing
• Demolition and removal
• Painting and touch-up work
• Flooring repairs and installation
• General home maintenance
• Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Ability to read and follow basic plans, instructions, and measurements

You do not need to be an expert in every trade. We are looking for someone who is highly capable, willing to learn, and comfortable figuring things out.

We want our customers to feel comfortable opening their doors to you. Trust is one of the most important things we sell.

Compensation & Growth

We offer flexibility in how you are compensated: hourly or per job - your choice.

While we prefer a per-job compensation structure, we understand that different technicians have different preferences and circumstances.

In addition to your normal compensation, we offer profit sharing on qualified leads you generate that turn into paying jobs.

For example, if you are working in a customer's home and identify another legitimate repair, maintenance need, or renovation opportunity, you can bring that opportunity to the company and participate in the profit generated from the work.

Tools/Equipment

The company will provide specialty tools and equipment necessary for specific jobs.

Employees are expected to have their own standard handyman tool set, including items such as:

• Drill/driver
• Screwdrivers
• Tape measure
• Basic hand tools
• Pliers
• Wrenches
• Utility knife
• Level
• Basic power tools

Qualifications:

• Previous handyman, maintenance, construction, remodeling, or related experience
• Broad knowledge of residential repairs and maintenance
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers
• Ability to safely lift, carry, climb ladders, kneel, bend, and perform physical work
• Ability to pass any required company screening
