Our client is seeking at talented and experienced Manger of IT Governance to drive remediation, strengthen control processes, and develop a high profile team. This role sits at the intersection of IT audit, risk management, and operations, requiring both technical depth and strong stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on manager with proven IT audit, IT risk, or IT governance experience who can work collaboratively across teams, make informed recommendations to improve control environments, and confidently provide validation where processes meet standards.
The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Director of IT Governance and will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing governance activities supporting IT operations, IT audit, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage governance activities supporting IT operations, IT audit, and compliance.
- Manage a team of 35 IT Governance professionals responsible for reviewing controls, identifying process gaps, and recommending enhancements.
- Develop and implement remediation strategies for audit findings, ensuring timely closure and sustainable improvements.
- Create dashboards and metrics that demonstrate control adherence, remediation progress, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Direct complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple systems, departments, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated skill in data reporting, metrics development, and dashboard tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with Jira, Excel, PowerPoint, and GRC tools
- BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CISSP preferred.
- 7 years of IT Audit, IT Risk, or IT Governance experience, ideally in regulated industries.
- CISA,CISSP or similar certification required.
- Strong technical knowledge of IT general controls, IT operations, and IT audit.
- Prior experience in an advisory or consulting role with leadership.
- 2 years of experience managing direct reports.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and NIST.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with technical teams and leadership.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule 3 days a week in office.
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 annually plus bonus
