About the Role:
Join our culinary team at Cornerstone Restaurant as an Experienced Linecook or Sous Chef! We are seeking passionate individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to showcase their culinary skills while contributing to our vibrant kitchen culture. Candidate will work closely with our current chef & sous chef to ensure consistency and management of the kitchen. Ideal candidate will understand cooking procedures and have decent food knowlegde.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to our established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and development while ensuring food presentation is top-notch.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food prep areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communication.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold our culinary standards.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Adapt to changing menus and special requests with creativity and flexibility.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or Sous Chef with strong culinary skills.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Food Handler’s Certification or equivalent preferred.
- Passion for food and a commitment to excellence in culinary arts.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
