Position Description
The CSRM Accounting Clerk is a key member of our Christian, small business. Responsibilities include accurately issuing payments, making deposits and utilizing accounting software, using well-accepted accounting methods, as directed by the Business Manager.
Summary
The Accounting Clerk works closely with the Business Manager to accurately process accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting functions. This includes coding and entry of AP invoices and AR deposits. Procurement of supplies will also be a responsibility. Answering phones, running reports, maintaining spreadsheets, filing, picking up mail and making deposits to the bank are other duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in bookkeeping/accounting is a necessity. 2 or 4- year Accounting or Finance degree preferred. CSRM Management reserves the right to consider any combination of education and experience when evaluating candidates for this position.

Essential Functions
- Professionally and independently complete accounting and other duties as assigned
- The Accounting Clerk will be managing multiple tasks, and ideally have experience in the unique requirements and potential pitfalls of multiple simultaneous projects to successful completion
- Known for attention to detail, business knowledge, and ability to maintain a positive business manner, while anticipating and resolving adverse conditions/issues in advance.
- Maintain confidentiality of accounts payable, receivable, and employee payroll matters
- Works well with superiors, co-workers and the general public, to support delivery of services in all CSRM entities
- Correctly compose, type, and maintain routine correspondence in the English language, as assigned by Business Manager and/or Executive Director.
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
- Have a general knowledge of bookkeeping procedures working with the General Ledger, Payroll records, Check Requests, Vendor Invoices, Bank account records and reconciliation reports, Financial reports, Inventory records, Travel advances and vouchers, and petty cash fund accounting.
- Accurately issue payroll and/or accounts payable checks
- Accurately complete on-line or other payment transactions, per vendor requirements.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Ability to explore alternative solutions and identify solutions that are most plausible in varied situations.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Business Manager or Executive Director.
Required Work Hours
This position is a part-time position, 25 hours per week, with the possibility of adjustment given funds availability.
Reporting and Supervisory Responsibilities
The Accounting Clerk reports to the Business Manager and the Executive Director.
