CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Senior Manager/Director of Tax for a public accounting client in the Clifton, NJ area. This role is responsible for leading complex tax planning, managing high-value client relationships, and advising business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and closely held entities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA with senior-level public accounting tax experience who wants client ownership, leadership visibility, and a realistic path toward long-term equity upside.
Responsibilities
- Lead tax planning, review, and advisory work for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and closely held companies
- Manage complex individual, partnership, S-corp, C-corp, trust, and estate tax matters
- Own client relationships through planning conversations, meetings, events, and year-round advisory support
- Review tax work, provide technical guidance, and support the development of junior team members
- Partner with leadership on client service, process improvement, retention, and long-term growth strategy
Qualifications
- Active CPA required
- Senior-level public accounting tax experience
- Experience with HNW, private client, closely held business, partnership, S-corp, trust, and estate tax work
- Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to build trusted advisory relationships
- Experience with CCH Axcess, ProSystem, QuickBooks, or similar CPA firm systems preferred
