Cornerstone Private Practice has a rare opportunity for a full-time, office-based registered nurse. Our practice is a low-volume, high-quality medical practice that provides primary concierge care, employee health & wellness, as well as weight management services to our community. We believe in treating patients as people and not a number or a set of problems, and we emphasize relationship-building and rapport with our patients while delivering extraordinary care.

Our nurses are ambassadors of patient experience, building meaningful relationships, and delivering exceptional, collaborative care. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, and be tech-savvy, proficient with standard office-based testing, and adept at working collaboratively as well as independently to address problems and enhance patient care. We value empathy, teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all patient care services to include, but not limited to, triaging patient concerns, coordinating referrals and patient care, assuring that patient needs are assessed and addressed, and ensuring the development, implementation, and follow-through of patients’ individualized plans of care.
  • Fosters and facilitates a workplace environment centered on collaborative, patient-centric, and high-quality, patient care.
  • Supervises the maintenance and accuracy of patient care records.
  • Performs or assists with in-services and other training, as well as support staff conferences as needed.
  • Carries out or oversees patient care according to the plan of care as ordered by the physician.
  • Acts as a liaison between staff, patients, and upper management to ensure effective and timely communication between all team members.
  • Contribute to the professional and respectful atmosphere that is cultivated at Cornerstone.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: Seasoned professional with a background in primary care or clinical settings.
  • Practice Alignment: Appreciation for our unique healthcare practice model.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, paired with active listening.
  • Clinical Skills: Proficient in phlebotomy, immunizations, and injection administration.
  • Diagnostics: Capable of performing EKGs, setting up and educating patients on remote cardiac monitors.
  • Audiology: Experience with audiogram testing preferred.
  • Compliance: Committed to all company and industry operational standards.
  • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and applicable clinical software.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated integrity, professional maturity, and leadership.
  • Preference: Non-smoking candidates preferred.

Schedule & Workplace

  • Primary work location: Cornerstone’s Suffolk, VA office and Norfolk, VA office (with occasional travel to other locations)
  • Typical work week: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Reports to: Practice Manager
  • Collaboration: Frequent work with our other nurse and the broader clinical team
