Physical Therapy Technician/Aide (start date 08/10/2026)
Cornerstone Physical Therapy is looking to hire a part-time Physical Therapy Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a student looking to balance their academics, build their resume for graduate school, and earn money at the same time. Hours available (2 different positions): Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am-1:30pm and Monday/Thursday 1:30p-6:30p
Physical Therapy Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds rapport and effectively communicates with staff and patients.
- Functions as a patient advocate in order to maintain utmost patient satisfaction.
- Assists with patient prep before treatment.
- Prepares treatment area/equipment for clinician use during treatment sessions.
- Monitors and instructs patients on individual exercise programs as directed by Therapist
- Assist with application of heat or ice as directed by the Therapist
- Maintains a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing all equipment and supplies after each treatment and returning to proper place following use.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Performs maintenance and cleaning of all other items daily, weekly, or monthly per cleaning log.
- Maintains storage and inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities.
- Performs basic front desk tasks (answering phones, checking in and scheduling patients).
Qualifications:
- Working on obtaining a college degree
- Team player attitude, energetic, with a focus on excellent customer service are key
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Caring nature, with a genuine interest in helping people
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Preferred Experience:
- Have an interest in pursuing a career in healthcare MD/PT/OT/PA
- Basic knowledge of exercise.
