What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Interpreter position at Cornerstone Pediatric Therapy?

Cornerstone Pediatric Therapy is a dynamic home health company based in Carrollton, TX that serves the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. We are looking for an interpreter to assist in occupational, physical, and speech therapy sessions with Spanish-speaking patients and their families. Sessions typically vary from 30 minutes to an hour each. Our current need is for the Carrollton/Irving/Arlington area.
Work hours will be varied and between 8am - 5pm Monday thru Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret verbal messages during therapy sessions and/or evaluations into Spanish, maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible
- Call families to schedule appointments and communicate on behalf of the therapist
- Protect patient/client confidentiality of information
- Promote positive, supportive, respectful communication to patient/ family/ caregiver and other employees
- Promote agency philosophy and follow administrative policies to ensure quality of care
Minimum Qualifications:
- Background check is required
- Reliable transportation to arrive punctually to scheduled therapy appointments
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Any medical field experience is preferable
