Cornerstone Equipment- Field Service Manager

The Field Service Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of the Field Service Team while setting and upholding the company standard for "Blue Collar Professionalism." This role drives a culture of positivity, accountability, productivity, and profitability by empowering field technicians through effective leadership, training, and support.

JOB PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Lead and manage daily operations of the Field Service Team by setting standards for "Blue Collar Professionalism," driving positivity, productivity, and profitability.
• Oversee scheduling, training, onboarding, performance management, and ongoing development of field technicians while exceeding revenue, profitability, and billing efficiency goals.
• Ensure timely, high-quality repairs and preventive maintenance, provide technical and diagnostic support, and secure additional billable work through customer recommendations.
• Foster strong customer relationships, resolve issues collaboratively, and promote long-term satisfaction.
• Lead regular team meetings, support professional growth, participate in customer-facing events, and collaborate closely with internal departments and branch leadership to deliver exceptional service solutions.
• Professional development through attendance at seminars, training courses, etc.
• Involvement in open houses, info-seminars, trade shows and other customer related programs.
• Work closely with other departments within the organization to resolve customer problems with an emphasis on collaboration with the branch Operations Manager, Lead Shop Technician, and Service Advisor to create team culture focused on providing best solutions for blue collar professionals.

• Experience in service and field service management within compact or construction equipment environments.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, including training, coaching, and performance management of technicians.
• Working knowledge of compact equipment systems (hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel).
• Excellent organizational and scheduling skills to manage field operations, work orders, and technician productivity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with technicians, customers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications.
• Ability to analyze service performance metrics and improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Proven relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage service issues effectively.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer job sites as needed.
