Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items such as sandwiches, salads, and other food products in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and work surfaces.
- Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction with their selections.
- Operate the cash register and POS system efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed to ensure product availability.
- Adhere to food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all products served.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and support overall store operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices is an advantage.
