OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: The Permitting Coordinator is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of residential construction permits, from application through approval, ensuring all homes are fully compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. This role works closely with Purchasing, Pre-Construction, Land Development, and Field teams to maintain schedules and prevent delays related to permitting.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
· Ability to meet deadlines and track multiple plans and permits across disparate communities in varying jurisdictions while meeting starts schedule and Company business plan.
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and coordinated plans.
· Understanding of residential permit processing and the individual requirements of each jurisdiction. Ability to review architectural plans, grading plans and truss packages to ensure that plans and packages reflect customer selected model/elevation and options.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities which can be employed to develop and create solutions.
· Good computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
· Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
· Must be able to speak, read and write English.
· Valid driver’s license.
· 2 years of experience in residential construction, permitting, or related field (preferred).
· Experience with Mark Systems, ITK, or similar construction software (preferred).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinate and prepare permit packages for submission to County.
2. Verify that permit packages are correct as to communities specifications, applicable building codes and customers selections.
3. Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment for office and field warranty employees, subcontractors and homeowners.
4. All other duties as assigned by management.
