What are the responsibilities and job description for the Before and After School Teacher position at Cornerstone Family Programs / Neighborhood House?
Cornerstone Family Programs currently has immediate openings at our Neighborhood House Location in Morristown for before and after school teachers.
Our before and after school staff provides a fun and safe environment for children to spend their time. The ideal candidate will have an interest and/or background in caring for children and a desire to be part of a team making a differences in children’s lives.
- Monitor the development of each child
- Maintain ongoing and open communication with parents/caregivers
- Assure a healthy, clean and developmentally appropriate environment for the children
- Work well with assistants and volunteers that are assigned to the room/program
- Maintain accurate, complete and timely agency records; complete daily snack and attendance records
- Report all staffing, classroom and program concerns to the Supervisor
- Responsible for the completion of the curriculum, activities and the cleanliness of the room or designated program area
- Participate in the arrival and the dismissal of the children
- Participate in all staff meetings and training sessions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 18 Years of age minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-year prior childcare experience in a classroom setting
- Bi-lingual is a plus
