Dental Sterilization Technician

Job Summary:

Come join a fast paced, energized office! This position ensures all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and organized, assists the hygienist or clinical staff with patient care and preparation, and supports the overall workflow of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments using autoclaves or other sterilization equipment.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of sterilized instruments.

Clinical Support:

• Assist the hygienists or dentist in preparing treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
• Maintain the cleanliness of treatment areas, including wiping down surfaces and disposing of waste.
• Replenish and organize supplies in treatment rooms and sterilization areas.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform routine checks on sterilization equipment and notify supervisors of any issues.
• Maintain an inventory of tools and supplies, and request restocking as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a dental or medical setting (preferred but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Capability to lift and handle equipment or supplies up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate sterilization equipment and handle instruments safely.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time Monday- Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Starting pay is $18 per hour. Benefits include: Quarterly bonuses; and, starting after 3 months employment: Paid sick time, Paid vacation time, Paid holidays, health insurance (75% of employee premiums paid by employer), employee dental insurance, 401K.
