Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our facility. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from trucks and containers efficiently and safely.
- Assist in shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy in documentation and inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to build pallets and prepare orders for shipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, particularly in forklift operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping/receiving procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A valid forklift operator certification is preferred but not mandatory; must have at least 2 years of experience operating a forklift
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
