Position Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Compliance:
- Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systems to verify proper installation and functionality.
- Identify and document any deviations from approved plans and specifications and recommend corrective actions.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Perform tests and inspections on materials and equipment to ensure they meet required standards.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and other relevant documentation.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding inspection results and project status.
- Coordination and Support:
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve construction issues and ensure timely project completion.
- Provide technical support and guidance to contractors and construction personnel.
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on construction methods, materials, and schedules
Skills and Competencies – appropriate to the Jr., Mid or Sr. Level qualifications:
- Knowledge of construction codes, standards, and regulations. o Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
- Construction Inspectors with 1 , 8 , and 15 years of relevant experience could be considered.
Experience in Maryland is preferred.
Degree Requirement for Position
- High School Diploma
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural or Geotechnical or Environmental or Electrical or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications: (e.g., ICC, NICET) are highly desirable.
Expected Position Start Date: 12/1/2025
Expected Duration of Assignment: Through March 2026 and potential 2-year extensions thereafter
Note: This position is not limited to day shifts. Night shifts and weekend work will be required regularly
Position Location: West Baltimore, Maryland, South of Baltimore Penn Station
Salary Range:
Jr. level: $56,000 - $65,829 YR
Mid Level: $ 65,000 to $97,000
Sr. Level: $99,860 - $116,257
