- Collect and document patient data, including medical history, symptoms, and behaviors
- Provide support and guidance to individuals with special needs, including those with autism and other developmental disorders.
- Conduct clinical research to contribute to the advancement of mental health treatment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized, yet collective treatment plans when applicable.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with mental health challenges and/or counseling needs.
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities, such as play therapy and art therapy.
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for individuals with special needs.
- Understanding of psychopharmacology principles and medication administration protocols.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data related to patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

Experience:
- Strong background in working with children and families preferred.
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- WA State Licensed Counselor or Therapist (Required)
Work Location: In person
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling sessions.
- Implementation of treatment plans and interventions.
- Conduct patient assessments and collect relevant data.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to improve client outcomes when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a hospital or mental health setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of coding for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes, willing to train.
- Experience in conducting individual counseling sessions.
- Understanding of co-occurring conditions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree
- Certification as a Mental Health Counselor or similar credential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in the provision of care.
