Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
- Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
- Provide specialized care for clients with conditions such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Skills
- Proficient in patient observation and understanding of medical terminology.
- Experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques and catheter care procedures is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to provide compassionate caregiving while respecting client dignity and privacy.
- Experience in home health or community care settings is a plus.
