Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters and hand tools.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other repairs needed for building interior maintenance and facilities upkeep.
- Manage plumbing repairs including leak detection, pipe repairs, fixture replacements, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical equipment to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical failures efficiently.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including schematics, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Support the upkeep of facilities equipment through maintenance planning, repairs, painting, and general housekeeping tasks to enhance community aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or facilities maintenance with knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and painting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical equipment using tools like ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC system repair, electrical equipment repair, and MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) practices.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as building interior maintenance techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; experience with facility equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively collaborate with team members and residents.
- Supervising or leadership experience is a plus for those interested in mentoring junior technicians or overseeing projects.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes or experience in large-scale facilities management is advantageous but not required.
