Pro Desk Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while assisting with their needs. You will handle sales transactions, manage inventory, and ensure a smooth order fulfillment process. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences. You will be selling lumber and building products to contractors and other DIY customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and sales transactions.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, processing payments accurately.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales counter, ensuring inventory is managed effectively.
• Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing displays
• Maintain a solid knowledge base of local code requirements, lumber products, roofing products, and industry norms

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash register operations.
• Experience in lumber, windows, doors, roofing, millwork and hardware.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• General computer skills
