Qualifications:

Primary duties for the Lead Payroll Specialist will consist of but not limited to:

  • Reconciles time cards, prepares work sheets for the office manager, and posts payroll on a weekly basis

  • Posts flat rate flag sheets on a weekly basis.

  • Assists in monthly closings.

  • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.

  • Assists with special projects, as necessary.

  • Supervises and assists the other payroll employee when necessary.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely payroll preparation, transfers, quarterly reports, W-2's, maintain personnel files and payroll changes and reports.'

  • Monitor, inspect, track and prepare paperwork as required.

  • Know and understand the federal, state and local regulations that affect accounting and personnel areas.


Education and/or Experience for the Lead Payroll Specialist:

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Accounting experience

Qualifications and Requirements for the Lead Payroll Specialist:

  • Current, valid Drivers License with driving record that meets insurance company standards

  • Willing to submit and the ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written

  • Good working relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient and professional service

Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
