Activities Director
Job Summary:
Corner View Nursing & Rehabilitation, a premier provider of healthcare services in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Activities Director to join our dedicated team. As an integral member of our staff, the Activities Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and social activities for our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the needs and interests of our residents, including arts, crafts, games, outings, and social events
Conduct assessments to identify residents' interests and abilities, and develop individualized activity plans accordingly
Collaborate with other departments, such as Dietary and Recreation, to ensure seamless programming and services
Recruit and manage volunteers, as well as train and supervise activities staff and volunteers
Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including participation rates and resident feedback
Develop and manage budgets for activities, ensuring effective allocation of resources
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 years of experience in activities management or a related field
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or related field preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
