Description:
We are seeking a dependable and diligent individual to join our team as a Building Maintenance Assistant. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and managing daily garbage and recycling duties to maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept environment for residents. The successful candidate will play an essential role in preserving the comfort and safety of our building community.
Responsibilities:
- Daily garbage and recycling removal, including transporting bins to and from designated areas
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobby, stairwells, and amenity spaces
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as basic repairs, bulb replacements, and general upkeep
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management in a timely manner
- Support seasonal and ongoing property maintenance tasks
- Assist the superintendent or management team with additional operational needs as required
- Prior experience in building maintenance, porter, or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (trash bins, supplies, equipment)
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Strong attention to cleanliness, detail, and safety
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- References may be requested
