GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for supervision and efficient operation of the teller area. Performs all teller functions, as well as solving problems and helping with complex work-related matters. Guides and advises tellers in the handling of members’ needs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervises the activities of the teller operations by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, and helping with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems Explain policies and procedures to members as a communication tool.
Serve as vault teller for the credit union, which includes ordering the cash and currency form the Federal Reserve, oversee verifying cash received, filling teller cash orders, maintaining full vault security, and balancing vault cash morning and evening.
Oversee, maintain and balance ATM machine and its cash accounts, run ATM reports as needed.
Approve member exceptions and fee refunds when deemed necessary
Maintain all subsidiary accounts for prepaids and accruals.
Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of all State and Federal regulations that are applicable to the transactions performed in the teller area. Knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, products and services.
Develop, apply and evaluate policies and procedures relating to teller operations.
Ensure that staff are trained and cross-trained in all phases of their particular jobs to ensure the delivery of quality service to members and to ensure accuracy in transactions.
Oversee teller work schedules to ensure Credit Union is adequately staffed to meet members’ needs.
Oversee proper availability of daily cash, stamps, gift cards and movie tickets.
Investigate teller losses and institute corrective flow or work and/or corrective disciplinary action when required.
Serve as Teller while performing the full range of member transactions.
Assist and provide backup support to Member Services Dept. and maintain current knowledge of credit union products and services.
Assist and provide backup support to other departments as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Requires professional, well-developed interpersonal skills for supervising Credit Union teller staff and communicating with members and co-workers.
Requires knowledge of financial products, services, policies and procedures.
Requires completion of high school education along with basic mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.)
Requires at least two years of member services, teller and/or cash experience in a financial institution. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Pay: $43,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
