The Department of Architecture in the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning at Cornell University invites applications for a tenure-track nine-month full-time Assistant Professor position in the department of Architecture.

Candidate qualifications must include evidence of exceptional strength in architectural design and architecture design studio teaching as well as in creative work and/or research work related to design. Candidates should have the ability to engage in the full breadth of the architecture curriculum and be interested in strengthening the design legacy of the department as well as engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration across the department, college, and university—through labs, centers, critical practices, or individual collaborations. Areas of additional expertise which might both broaden and/or deepen design expertise may include one or more of the following areas: urbanism, theory, computation and digital technologies, sustainability and climate, among others.

A professional bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of architecture is required. Responsibilities will include teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, research, advising, and service.

This position will begin on July 1, 2026, and will be based at Cornell’s Ithaca campus.
