What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Cornell Scott-Hill Health?
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing support for a wide variety of activities of human resources including employee relations, benefits administration, and reporting. The Human Resources Generalist’s focus includes advising managers/supervisors on all Human Resource practices and providing information to employees about policies and procedures. Other areas of focus include performing exit interviews, performance management, new hire orientation, revision of policies, and the processing and tracking of staffing requisitions and payroll changes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Explains and provides advice to employees about company rules, regulations, and procedures, and need for compliance.
- Facilitates timely resolution of all employee relations issues while maintaining an appropriate balance between employee and management advocacy.
- Assists with credentialing and re-credentialing of other licensed clinical staff (OLCS) by retrieving credentialing information and requirements.
- Develops and administers a variety of reward and recognition programs, focusing on improving employee retention and making CS-HHC a desirable employer
- Maintains and updates all HRIS databases as needed to ensure integrity of systems.
- Responsible for assisting with recruitment activities by facilitating the requisition process, updating HR and the management team on status of approved or rejected requisitions.
- Updates HRIS system with hiring of new employees, address changes, status changes, promotions, etc.
- Designs and conducts New Hire Orientations alongside Learning & Development Manager.
- Processes payroll change forms (PCFs) and prepares status change letters using DocuSign.
- Manually prepares and maintains HR reports to include Requisition, Allocation, and Position Control reports.
- Completes various reports for the HR Department and other partners (Senior Leaders, Finance, Compliance, etc.)
- Conducts training courses when needed alongside Learning & Development Manager.
- Performs all other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Minimum (3) years of HR experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
