Cornell Property Management Corp. is seeking a Property Manager to lead day-to-day operations on-site at our multifamily community . This role is responsible for leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, and financial performance of the property. Candidate must provide effective leadership to ensure the success of the community, while also maximizing the overall operating performance and effectiveness of the assigned property.
Responsibilities
- Manage all leasing activity — move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and recertifications — and maintain compliant waiting lists by unit type
- Market and advertise vacant units to minimize vacancy loss and hit occupancy targets
- Screen and qualify prospective residents in accordance with Fair Housing law, program guidelines, and company criteria
- Coordinate maintenance, unit turnovers, and inspections to meet property standards
- Collect rent, manage accounts receivable, and control operating expenses against budget
- Prepare and report on financial performance, including budget variance, on a regular schedule
- Build and maintain positive resident relationships; respond to and resolve resident concerns promptly
- Enforce lease terms, property rules, and company policy consistently and fairly
- Oversee properties’ personnel and assess its performance including unit inspections
Skills
- Proven experience and understanding of property management and its financial aspects
- Working knowledge of property management financials, such as budgeting, rent collection, expense control
- Proficiency with property management software and MS Office
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to meet deadline and work proactively and independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
We require a valid driver's license, and candidate must pass a background check.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
