ABOUT THIS MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN ROLE
As our Maintenance Electrician, you will ensure safe and efficient plant operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment up to 480V. Your responsibilities include maintaining motors, controls, MCCs, and VFDs, diagnosing PLC-controlled equipment, and interpreting electrical schematics. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to equipment failures to minimize downtime, calibrate process instrumentation, and document activities in the CMMS. Adhering to OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, and confined space procedures, you will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to enhance equipment reliability.
OUR IDEAL MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
- High school diploma or GED
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial electrical experience
- 3 years of industrial maintenance electrical experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving motors, controls, VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentation
- NFPA 70E- Electrical Safety in Workplace Training
- Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work at heights
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, and dusty industrial environments
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ethanol, food processing, grain handling, chemical processing, or other industrial manufacturing environments
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial automation
- Knowledge of process instrumentation, calibration practices, and industrial networking
- Experience using CMMS software (E.G SAP PM, Maximo, FIIX, or Similar)
- Arc Flash certification or completed arc flash hazard analysis training
