Corliss Diesel is located at the Newport Shipyard in downtown Newport RI. We work on the largest and finest yachts in the world repairing and maintaining the best of engines in all sorts applications. Equipped with service trucks, Corliss Diesel also works with commercial tug’s, cranes, wind farm research vessels, fire boats and many other types of vessel’s with assorted types of engines and associated components that adds a level of intrigue and interest to each project. At Corliss Diesel we pride ourselves in offering honest, quality repairs and are experiencing rapid growth.
We are seeking a Marine Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Newport, RI. Corliss Diesel offers competitive wages and paid time off. Pay based on experience $22-55 per hour.
Responsibilities include re-power work including complex rigging and hoisting, fabrication, troubleshooting catastrophic engine failure and re-design of drive trains
Qualifications:
- experience level ideal candidate could range from apprentice to seasoned marine diesel technician
- Keen interest and passion for repairing and servicing diesel engines
- Maintaining accurate project details and billable time records
- Positive work attitude
