Advanced Flow Solutions (AFS) includes the Liquid Controls and Corken branded products that make fluid transfer safe, accurate, and efficient. Liquid Controls primarily provide metering, fluid handling and data ecosystem for truck-based custody transfer of highly valuable fuels as well as product solutions to support other downstream oil & gas custody transfer applications. Corken offers a wide variety of industrial compression and pumping solutions for the process, energy, and transport industries. Applications include Autogas filling stations, bulk plant pumps, tank-car unloading, delivery truck, and transport. AFS is headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK with a sales/service office in Chicago, IL and an employee base of approximately 220 .

Our $115M growth‑focused business unit operates across two distinct revenue streams. The position reports to the Group Vice President, Finance Fire Safety Diversified Products and provides operational finance support to the AFS President and senior leadership team.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Direct Finance & IT team and assist business unit President and senior leadership teams in the development of strategic plans and supporting objectives, while proactively managing supporting events to assure attainment of agreed upon performance.
  • Manage the company’s accounting & IT functions including general ledger, monthly closings and statutory requirements. Direct the financial reporting, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and product & business line profitability analyses. Indirect management of Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (includes facilitation of credit process when holding shipments).
  • Responsible for the reporting, analysis and review of the AFS Consolidated Financials to Corporate Finance and AFS Leadership. AFS Consolidated includes AFS Core (OKC), Energy Asia and SAMPI. Financials to include monthly, quarterly and year-end actual, forecasted and Annual Operating Plan results.
  • Ensure effective cost accounting, inventory accounting and project costing / tracking processes across the business including control of physical inventories.
  • Instill financial discipline and rigor into investment analyses and justification, capital appropriation and capital budgeting processes.
  • Ensure BU’s compliance with IDEX internal policies and procedures to include, but not limited to, Finance Policies, IT policies, FP&A practices and changes, Controllership and other Accounting Policies, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, Tax, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other legally mandated external financial reporting requirements that may be requested from IDEX corporate Finance and Accounting staff.
  • Manage the Interface with both internal and external auditors as well as provide the primary source of contact for all Corporate requirements of the aforementioned Policies and Regulations, including Trace Compliance and Anti-Corruption Policy
  • Deployment and application of IDEX Operating Model core processes based on needs of the business to assist in achieving defined organizational, financial, and business goals.
  • Build and develop a high performing and scalable team including talent pipeline and succession planning
  • Direct preparation of detailed financial analyses and management reporting results for presentation to the business unit President and senior leadership team (AFS), Segment and IDEX Senior Management.
  • Coordinate and administer an effective financial plan for the control of the company’s operations by implementing and effectuating an adequate control environment.
  • Drive, support and utilize the company’s OPEX process improvement initiatives including 8020.
  • ISO Role – Information Security Officer for AFS, reviews and approves certain IT changes regularly, reviews Cybersecurity risks with IT team monthly, quarterly review of IT Risk Assessment
  • Lead, direct and ensure the accuracy of forecasting and AOP Process including monthly, quarterly and ad hoc forecasting processes.


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in a similar-sized operation, including heavy management experience in financial and manufacturing accounting. Cost accounting expertise is required.
  • Experience in a process focused organization (80/20, Value Streams, Lean) and experience working with JDE and OneStream is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must have a proven track record, demonstrated by a progressive level of growth in responsibility.

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver capable of balancing detailed analysis with a broad business perspective.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This role oversees three direct reports and nine indirect reports.


Travel:

  • Up to 10% domestic travel may be required.
